Car accidents are stressful events that no person wants to face

On Behalf of | Jul 10, 2019 | Car Accidents

Unfortunately, not all Delaware drivers are as cautious as they should be behind the wheel. In fact many drivers these days are downright careless, irresponsible and take driving for granted. Distracted and reckless drivers endanger the lives of all those around them. Distracted and/or impaired drivers account for thousands of car accidents every day across the United States.

A recent crash near Brandywine injured three teenagers and left one driver facing serious charges. The accident happened in front of the Concord Mall on Concord Pike during the afternoon hours. According to reports, the driver of a truck ran a red light at the entrance to the Concord Mall and hit a car that was pulling out on to the roadway.

Reports said the three teenage occupants of the car had to be extracted from the vehicle by firefighters and were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Reportedly, the driver of the truck was not injured, but was suspected of impairment. Police placed the driver under arrested and charged her with driving under the influence of drugs and two counts of first degree vehicular assault, among other charges.

Car accidents are stressful, completely unpredictable and can happen in the blink of an eye. No person wants to be involved in an accident, especially when crashes result in injuries. What can be done if a person is injured in an accident caused by a negligent driver? Victims in Delaware can pursue legal action. A successfully litigated claim could result in substantial monetary relief to help victims recover financial losses and get back on their feet.
