Roadways in Delaware these days are fraught with danger. Just getting from point A to point B can be challenging. Even a short drive has the potential to turn into a very serious or fatal accident. Unfortunately, accidents can happen at any time, and, with roads as crowded as they are today, car accidents are an almost certainty. A recent two-vehicle crash in Glasgow injured 10 people.
The accident happened during the late-morning hours at the intersection of Lake Drive and Corporate Boulevard. Reportedly, a transport van was traveling east on Corporate Boulevard, approaching the Lake Drive intersection. According to reports, a northbound pickup truck failed to stop at the stop sign and caused a collision, knocking the van into a grassy area off the roadway.
Reports said the impact knocked the pickup truck into an electrical box, causing a power outage in the area. Authorities said the driver of the van and eight adult passengers sustained injuries in the crash. The driver of the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign, police said.
Without question, any traffic accident is a stressful experience for all involved. In Delaware, car accidents are one of the leading causes of death and injury. Those who sustain injuries in an accident due to the negligence of another party may want to consider discussions with an experienced legal representative. A lawsuit, if successful, could provide monetary relief to help victims and families who may be struggling with medical expenses and other financial losses.
