Allegedly, the man underwent a complex surgical procedure at a facility that was not authorized or equipped to do so. According to the lawsuit, the man needed a cervical spine fusion operation. The lawsuit claimed that, although the man requested the procedure to be done at a hospital, providers at the facility convinced him to have the surgery there by telling him his insurance would not cover the surgery at a hospital.

It was alleged that, during the surgery, a medical assistant caused the man’s blood pressure reading to drop by pressing on a pressure cuff. Negligence during surgery can have disastrous and lifelong ramifications. Victims and families in Delaware who have suffered due to surgical errors could benefit by seeking the services of an experienced attorney and filing a claim.
