A recent accident in Middleton resulted in the death of a mother and injuries to her child. The crash happened during the evening on Levels Road near Route 301. According to reports, traffic was stopped in the southbound lanes when a pickup truck drove into the grassy median in an attempt to navigate around the traffic jam.
Reports said the driver of the pickup truck lost control and entered the northbound lanes into oncoming traffic, colliding with an oncoming van. Reportedly, the driver of the van and her 10-year-old daughter were injured and taken to a local medical center. Tragically, the mother was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said. The daughter was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
