According to reports, the driver of a sedan was making a left turn from Sussex Highway onto Woodyard Road and pulled directly into the path of an oncoming SUV. Reports said the SUV collided with the sedan, traveled through the median and flipped several times before finally coming to rest on its roof.
Tragically, authorities said the driver of the SUV died at the scene. An unrestrained passenger in the SUV was thrown from the vehicle and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, according to authorities. Reportedly, the driver of the sedan was treated for minor injuries and released.
