Young Conaway Continues Its Back-to-School Drive for Stubbs School

On Behalf of | Jul 24, 2019 | Firm News

The attorneys and staff of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP have been hosting a Back-to-School Drive for the Frederick Douglas Stubbs Elementary School over the past six years. Donated backpacks contained items such as pencils, markers, erasers, and paper for each student. The firm also purchased classroom supplies. During this period, Young Conaway helped more than 830 students.

The Christina School District Board of Education approved a new attendance plan in late 2018 for Wilmington’s schools. Beginning with school year 2019-2020, the Frederick Douglas Stubbs School became an early education center serving students in preschool, pre-K, and Kindergarten. Young Conaway is pleased to report that this educational reorganization has not hampered our Back-to-School Drive. Our attorneys and staff will be providing 150 backpacks loaded with school supplies for these young students along with hand sanitizers, tissues, and wide-ruled paper for the classroom. The donations will be distributed to the students at Stubbs’ Back-to-School event on Thursday, August 8th.

Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP is proud to participate in this program and to be a supporter of our local community. We wish all the students at Stubbs a great start to the 2019-2020 school year!
