Car accidents are almost inevitable on crowded Delaware roads

Roadways are becoming increasingly crowded as populations increase in the state of Delaware. As more and more people move here to take advantage of the wonderful economic opportunities available across the state, the sudden influx of traffic often causes frequent congestion on streets and highways. This can make driving one of the most dangerous and difficult daily activities for those who live and work in Delaware. Overcrowded roadways combined with impatient or reckless drivers make car accidents almost inevitable

Recently, a crash in Millsboro involving three vehicles resulted in injuries to two people. The accident occurred on highway U.S. 113 at an intersection. According to reports, the driver of a Honda Civic was attempting a left turn and pulled into the path of a Chevrolet Cruze.

The drivers of both vehicles were injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital for treatment, authorities said. Reportedly, an SUV was also involved in the crash but the driver was uninjured. Police said the driver of the Honda was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left turn.

Drivers should always remain alert and focused when operating a motor vehicle. With so many vehicles sharing the road these days, car accidents will happen. Unfortunately, an increasing number of these accidents are resulting in serious or fatal injuries. Those in Delaware who have suffered injuries or the loss of a loved one due to negligence in a crash could benefit from discussions with an experienced attorney. A successfully litigated case could result in much-needed compensation to help with medical expenses and other associated damages.
