Car accidents can be expensive for victims

On Behalf of | Mar 16, 2017 | Car Accidents

Several people were recently injured in a multi-vehicle accident on a Delaware interstate. While it was fortunate that the car accidents did not end in tragedy, the victims will soon face the realization of the expenses that may follow. Medical, physical therapy, car repair and replacement expenses can add up quickly, often creating significant financial stress for many accident victims.

A 37-year-old male driving a Saab sedan was in the southbound lane of the interstate with the other vehicles involved in the accident. According to records, the man recklessly changed lanes without indication and collided into a Nissan sedan. Apparently the collision resulted in the Nissan driver losing control, and he struck the front of a DART bus.

The impact pushed all three vehicles off the road, and fortunately, the victims only suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the DART bus, three of its passengers, the Nissan driver and its passenger reportedly required their injuries to be treated at a medical facility, but it is unknown if the reckless driver suffered any injuries as a result of the accident. The male driver was cited by police for driving under the influence, failure to signal lane change and improperly changing a lane.

Car accidents can result in overwhelming financial and emotional stress. Emergency room visits, tests, and treatment for injuries are expensive, and the bills can add up quickly. Unexpected car repair or replacement costs, if necessary, can also add to the financial stress. Personal injury attorneys in Delaware are able to advise victims of their litigation rights and options to pursue compensation to cover car accident related expenses.
