An alleged distracted driver caused a recent crash just outside of Wilmington that left several motorists suffering injuries. The accident happened just before noon on Del. 7 at the entrance of Delaware Park. According to a report by the Delaware State Police, an SUV failed to stop at a traffic light and collided with a sedan that was leaving Delaware Park.
Reports said the collision knocked the sedan into a pickup truck, causing the pickup to roll over on its side. The drivers of all three vehicles suffered non life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment, authorities said. Police said the driver of the SUV was cited for inattentive driving. Reportedly, the crash impacted both the southbound and northbound lanes of the highway for several hours.
